I am making a serious effort to start eating better. I dont want to make any mistakes thinking im eating something healthy when really im not. Nuts are one of those food items where im not sure which way to go. I really enjoy them but dont wanna eat them if they are unhealthy. I have read from some people they do eat them as they contain lots of protein, but at the same time they contain alot of fat and calories. Any suggestions?

Moderation is key with nuts. Have a few (handful or so) each day. Nuts do contain fat, but it is unsaturated. Im not an expert but i used to have a trainer and nuts were part of my diet. Also stay away from honey roasted, try to go with low or no sodium if you can tolerate it.

Like Mike says, nuts are fine. I have never heard any negatives about nuts in the diet.

If you want to try something different, try having some almond butter on toast with some banana slices. It's a great way to start the morning.

Almonds are among the healthiest foods you can eat. Go easy on the salt and stay away from smoked and honey roasted.
